Field and Cultural Immersion

Field and Cultural Immersion extends learning into lived environments where knowledge becomes contextual, interdisciplinary, and applied. Students investigate ecosystems, communities, and cultural landscapes through structured fieldwork and immersive experiences. These programs develop adaptability, collaboration, and reflective judgment beyond the traditional classroom setting.

ZOO

Place-Based Learning

Interdisciplinary field programs connect academic study with real environments. Through initiatives such as GPS Zoo Exploration, Historic Dadaocheng investigations, and Beitou field study, students integrate biology, history, geography, language arts, and technology in authentic contexts.

Students collect data, conduct site-based inquiry, document findings, and present analyses. Learning emphasizes the relationships between self, community, and environment while strengthening research and communication skills.

Overseas Educational Travel

Overseas programs provide structured cultural immersion in diverse international settings. Destinations vary annually, ensuring that each cohort engages with distinct historical, ecological, or cultural contexts.

Students participate in guided inquiry, community interaction, and thematic research. These experiences expand global awareness, deepen intercultural understanding, and cultivate the ability to navigate unfamiliar environments with confidence and respect.

Operation Wallacea Science Expedition

Selected students join international scientists in biodiversity research and ecological monitoring projects. Through immersive fieldwork, students apply scientific methodology in real ecosystems while developing resilience and collaborative discipline.

Scouting and Global Service

Scouting integrates outdoor skill development, leadership formation, and community service. Participation in national and international jamborees fosters cultural exchange, self-reliance, and ethical responsibility.

Field and Cultural Immersion ensures that learning is experienced, not only studied. By engaging directly with environments and communities, students strengthen adaptability, cultural competence, and ecological responsibility. These experiences deepen intellectual understanding while shaping socially aware and globally minded individuals.
