Learning and Enrichment
Advanced Academic Enrichment
Learning and Enrichment at Xiugang extends academic depth beyond the core timetable. These programs are designed to cultivate advanced subject mastery, prepare students for high-level competitions, and strengthen foundational skills where needed. Participation is structured, sustained, and aligned with academic progression.
Olympiad Training Program
Since 2007, the Olympiad Training Program has provided a structured pathway for students pursuing national and international academic competitions. The program has produced medalists in geography, earth science, economics, informatics, and related disciplines, reflecting sustained preparation and subject depth.
Development progresses through three stages:
- Grades 5–7: Foundational interest and conceptual grounding
- Grades 8–9: Analytical skill development and disciplinary precision
- Grades 10–12: Advanced specialization and competition performance
Students may pursue focused study in mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, geography, economics, information science, and linguistics. Instruction emphasizes rigorous content mastery, complex problem-solving, and research-level thinking under experienced mentors.
Academic Competition and Innovation Pathways
In addition to Olympiad preparation, students may engage in structured training for AMC, advanced robotics competitions, science fairs, and engineering challenges. These programs require sustained practice, technical refinement, and collaborative preparation for external performance standards.
Academic Reinforcement and Skill Development
Learning and Enrichment also provides structured courses to strengthen essential competencies and support academic progression. Offerings include:
- English reading and academic writing development
- Mathematics and science reinforcement for junior high students
- Standardized test preparation for TOEIC, TOEFL, SAT, and IELTS
- Financial literacy aligned with Taiwan’s 108 Curriculum Framework
- Strategic reasoning and analytical development through chess
These courses ensure that students can either deepen advanced expertise or reinforce core academic foundations based on individual needs.
Learning and Enrichment is designed to extend intellectual capacity, not simply add activity hours. Students move from interest to expertise through structured practice, mentorship, and measurable performance
